Glitter Galaxy

Last week, makeup artist Brooke Clarke of Jabbas Cosmetics and I shot an editorial together. At the very end of the editorial, she wiped the makeup clean off the face of our stunning model, Monique @ Muse The Agency and Brooke wiped out this antique looking perfume bottle filled with the finest gold dust. She pumped out the glitter, spraying it through this “puff” like applicator nozzle. The effect was this light dusting of glitter. It was utterly magical! In the light of the studio, there were all these sparkles floating about.

We quickly shot this, some outside in the late afternoon sun and then some in studio, where I mixed with some coloured lighting for a two tone effect. I experimented with a blue light on the left side and then a pinkish light to contrast with the very yellow gold glitter.
